    Direct Payments - Personal Budgets

    We have over 13 years combined experience in supporting people & families with Direct Payments and Personal Budgets in Nottingham City & County. We also have our own personal experience of being employers, as all our staff are disabled people themselves, in receipt of Personal Budgets which we feel is invaluable in providing a quality service

    If you are already in receipt of support from Social Services;
    Your local council is obliged to offer you the option of Direct Payments/Personal Budgets in place of the services you currently receive.

    If you're not already in receipt of support from Social Services;
    To get direct payments you'll need to contact your local council to ask them to assess your needs. Social services support (and therefore Direct Payments/Personal Budgets) are normally available if you are:

    • Disabled and aged 16 or over
    • A Parent or carer aged 16 or over (including people with parental responsibility for a disabled child)
    • "An older person" (aged 65 or over)
